About the project:

We have established cooperation with the creators of the Klíšt'apka / Tickapp mobile application.

The aim of this project was to create a mobile application, including a web version, that allows predicting tick abundance including the possibility of infection based on forest classification, habitat, climate data and other data. The interactive map of tick abundance and risk of Lyme disease in the Czech Republic was originally created based on 28,276 ticks analysed in 2021 and 2022. The collection of the data continues and the model is regularly updated based on new data including the data from Ticks in the city project. The application uses polygons of forest stands from the mapping data of the Institute for Forest Management Brandýs nad Labem.
